People have asked me if our pups will be handled and socialized.... here's one example :) CJ is resting with the puppies, hanging out and watching netflix...
We also expanded - 2 boxes, one for living and one for potting - now we just have to train them to make it over the separator!

Who Is Still Available?
I've had lots of inquries the last few days (12 this weekend!), so I wanted to update people on who is available and who isn't.
5 of the pups are sold.... three are still available.

The sold's & their new families :)
I'm SOOO excited, because my sister in law (and therefore my brother, under great protest) is taking little red. Red is Trystan's favorite, and she will be hanging out with their 2 (almost 3 year old) twins, and LOTS of hunting dogs :)

The Cons
So, let's be real. Everyone loves Zeus. He's an amazing, patient, loveable ball of fluff. My super cute nephew last night announced that I had a wolf in my house. He got over it when he got kisses :)
Luna is a sweet, calm, gorgeous girl. Everyone loves her, too.
But, every breed has cons. Let me show you a few husky cons.....
First, fur. Lots of fur. Massive fur. This is from the bath yesterday....
And these are from right after I vacuumed.... RIGHT after. Right now, Zeus is shedding giant tufts of fur. If I knew how, I'd be spinning it into yarn.

Second, holes. Huskies dig because they burrow. In the past, in the arctic, huskies burrowed into the snow to stay warm. Sometimes mine do it to stay cold in the summer. Especially if they can do it right before a rain, so it fills up into a pool for them! :)
Here's a great example of one corner of our fenced in yard - this has basically become the dog area...
Those are ankle breakers. All that stuff along the fence line? Those are blockers, where they've dug to try and escape. This summer, there's a good chance we're burying rebar. Yeah. They're serious.
Third, they run. I don't take pics of that because, really, I'm a little busy chasing. Zeus without Luna only travels in a circle - down about 2 blocks, across the road, through the yards, and back to the front porch. Luna goes. And goes. And goes. Getting her back involves at least 2 hot dogs and the van.
So there you go. Just want to give you a realistic idea of what you might be dealing with when all you can see for right now is this:
Cuz let's be honest. He is fricking adorable!!!!!!

2 Weeks!
The babes are almost 2 weeks old! Still no open eyes or open ears yet, but they are motoring around a little better.
Luna's doing a GREAT job as always, and they've been very spoiled the last few days - they sleep in the pen with Luna at night, but to give them and her a break, they've been hanging in the living room during the day :) CJ helps me load them all into the laundry basket before school and he pulls them through the house into the living room!
We've also been making sure that all of them get hands on lovin every day to get them (and Luna) used to it. So even though we all have our personal favorites, each pup gets human snuggles every day!
Enough talk though... let's get to the pics! These were just taken this afternoon....
Little Boy Blue... or as I call him... "MINE" (no I'm not keeping one!)
I think he'll be red!
Light green - the other red boy... the only one with the Zeus spot on his back
Dark pink - the only red girl
Dark green - he just curls into a little ball :)
Light pink girl - she's a chunker with a speckled nose!
White girl ... she has a sweet little face with that little white spot!!!
Yellow...the runtly one! We thought we'd have to supplement him with formula,
but he's learning to fight his way through....
Red girl... who is actually the darkest girl.... have to look at the yarn :)
She's a family favorite!
There they are!!!! For more information, feel free to email me! bgarrettatc@gmail.com :)

Updates
I love updated pics. I am Facebook friends with 10 of the 14 people we have sold puppies to. It is a great way to keep in touch and see how they are doing in their new lives. I love getting on and seeing what my kids and their forever families are doing! Here's a peek at the kids now!
Yes, only Chloe got a special color. She's a princess :)

New Friends
They don't all have names yet, but they do have colors.... Give it a week or two until they develop personalities, and CJ gets his mitts on them a little more (Red does have a name - Raphael girl... apparently we're going TMNT themed so far)
Right now, we'll go on neck tie color...

I do think we have some Reds this time... and a few will be very dark. Time will tell, so stay tuned!!!!
Welcome!
For those of you that are new, Welcome! Feel free to look back over the posts of the past... meet our family, both 2 and 4 legged varieties. We have 2 huskies, Luna and Zeus. They are amazing parents. They make beautiful babies. And when she is in heat they are determined to prove both of those facts. FYI - Luna and I have talked... she has an appointment in 6 weeks that will take care of the issue.... no more pups!
For those that think they want a husky puppy, I advise you start here:

It's a very honest viewpoint. If you doubt any of those pros or cons, feel free to come on over to our house.... you'll leave with a new best friend and a fur coat of your own. And you can check out the ankle breaking danger zone that is my fenced in back yard :)
